Housing Material: High-grade AISI 304 Stainless Steel for superior corrosion resistance in aggressive or mineral-heavy water.
Shaft Material: Hardened stainless steel.
Bearing System: Extra-heavy-duty, self-aligning axial thrust bearings, specifically engineered to manage the high down-thrust loads of 6-inch multi-stage pump stacks.
Key Features
Corrosion Resistance: The V-SS series is specifically designed for applications where water chemistry might be slightly aggressive or abrasive, providing a longer service life than standard cast iron units.
Efficient Thermal Management: The high-grade stainless steel casing facilitates excellent heat transfer, ensuring the motor remains within optimal operating temperatures even under continuous 15 HP loads.
Reliability: Engineered for 24/7 continuous water extraction, suitable for high-demand agricultural or commercial water systems.
Structural Integrity: Robust design provides the necessary rigidity and vibration dampening for deep-borehole performance.
Installation and Use Notes
Electrical Infrastructure: A professional 3-phase control panel with thermal overload protection and single-phasing/imbalance monitoring is mandatory. Calibrate the overload relay precisely to the motor’s Full Load Amperage (FLA) to prevent winding damage.
Cooling and Flow: Maintaining a minimum flow velocity of 0.15 m/s past the motor casing is critical for heat dissipation. In large-diameter boreholes, a flow induction shroud is required to ensure forced water circulation.
Handling & Safety: Use professional-grade hoisting equipment and the motor’s lifting eyes. Always secure all power leads to the column pipe at frequent intervals (every 2 meters) to prevent snagging or cable abrasion against the borehole wall.
Cable Splicing: Use only professional-grade, resin-encapsulated submersible splice kits to ensure a fully watertight connection for the power leads.
