Sand Protection: Integrated V-CI (V-Type Sand Shield) system, optimized to deflect abrasives and protect the primary seal assembly in high-sediment borehole conditions.
Key Features
Maximum Duty Cycle: Engineered for continuous, 24/7 heavy-industrial water extraction, suitable for major municipal supply or large-scale irrigation projects.
Superior Structural Integrity: The heavy-duty cast iron housing provides unmatched vibration dampening and mechanical stability for a 50 HP output.
Sand-Resistance (V-CI): The high-performance shield design acts as the first line of defense against borehole solids, vital for protecting the internal mechanics at this power level.
Thermal Management: Optimized liquid-filled internal architecture combined with the high thermal mass of the cast iron housing ensures efficient heat dissipation during sustained high-load operations.
Installation and Use Notes
Electrical Infrastructure: A professional 3-phase control panel with a Star-Delta or Soft Starter is non-negotiable for a 50 HP motor. Given the high current draw, ensure power cables are sized correctly for the specific cable length to prevent excessive voltage drop.
Environmental Compatibility: Best utilized in non-corrosive, neutral water environments. For high-salinity or acidic wells, the Stainless Steel (V-SS) version is the standard industry requirement.
Flow and Cooling: A minimum flow velocity of 0.15 m/s past the motor casing is critical. In large-diameter boreholes, a flow induction shroud is mandatory to ensure forced water circulation and prevent premature thermal cutout.
Handling & Safety: At this weight class, use professional-grade hoisting equipment. Attach to the motor’s heavy-duty lifting eyes. Ensure the motor leads are secured every 2-3 meters along the column pipe to prevent vibration damage or snagging on the well casing.
