Key Features
Balanced Performance: Ideal for medium-duty applications where a 6-inch borehole diameter is present but power requirements are moderate.
Reliable Sealing: High-quality mechanical seals prevent groundwater ingress, ensuring motor longevity in diverse water chemistries.
Energy Efficiency: Precision-wound stator and rotor components designed for consistent output with minimal heat generation.
Durability: Robust construction protects against the corrosive and abrasive conditions often found in subsurface water environments.
Installation and Use Notes
Electrical Connection (~SSJKT): This motor includes a Professional Submersible Splice/Jointing Kit. Even for this lower-horsepower unit, the joint integrity is critical. Use the provided kit to create a fully waterproof, resin-encapsulated seal.
Electrical Protection: A professional 3-phase control panel with thermal overload protection and single-phasing prevention is mandatory. This ensures the motor is protected against fluctuations in the power supply.
Cooling and Flow: Even at 5.5 HP, a minimum flow velocity of 0.15 m/s past the motor casing is necessary to maintain operating temperatures. Ensure the pump is correctly positioned in the borehole or utilize a flow induction shroud if necessary.
Handling: Use the provided lifting eyes to lower the assembly into the well. Never use the power cable as a lifting tool, and secure the lead to the column pipe at regular intervals to prevent damage during installation.
