Key Applications
High-Volume Agricultural Irrigation: Engineered for rapid-fill irrigation, massive flood watering, and large-scale field flooding where maximum volume is needed at lower heads.
Large-Scale Reservoir & Cistern Filling: Ideal for the rapid replenishment of municipal reservoirs, industrial holding tanks, and large agricultural storage ponds.
Flood Control & Water Drainage: Highly effective in pumping out large volumes of water for site drainage or managing seasonal water level fluctuations in high-yield wells.
Public/Municipal Utility Transfer: Suitable for high-volume transfer stations where significant hourly throughput is required for public water supply networks.
Installation and Use Notes
Piping: Use 3-inch industrial-grade HDPE or GI column piping. Because this pump moves 20 m³/h, the 3-inch discharge is critical to prevent excessive friction loss; using a smaller pipe will severely restrict the pump's performance and increase energy consumption.
Electrical Protection: A professional 3-phase control panel with thermal overload protection and a soft starter is mandatory. This is required to manage the high current demands and starting torque of a 4 HP motor configured for high-volume pumping.
System Monitoring: Installation of a dry-run protection system (electrode sensors or flow-based switches) is strictly necessary. Running a high-volume unit like this without water will lead to near-instantaneous overheating of the pump stages.
Installation Requirements: Use a high-strength, certified safety rope. Due to the wide flow diameter of the 3-inch outlet, ensure the installation depth is well-calibrated, and the borehole screen is clear of debris to prevent intake clogging, which is common in high-flow applications.
