Key Applications
Large-Scale Mining Operations: Designed for the primary pumping of slurry or clear water from deep mine shafts and large quarry drainage systems.
Municipal Water Supply: Used in main lift stations to transport water from deep aquifers to metropolitan treatment plants or elevated storage tanks.
Industrial Cooling Loops: Essential for high-volume water circulation in power stations, steel rolling mills, and large-scale petrochemical refinery cooling systems.
Emergency Flood Mitigation: Rapid-response drainage for major civil engineering projects or disaster management in flood-prone districts.
High-Pressure Irrigation: Powers massive lateral move or high-pressure rain-gun irrigation systems covering thousands of hectares.
Installation and Use Notes
Piping: Use high-pressure flanged steel piping (12-inch discharge). The structural integrity of the pipeline is vital to withstand the extreme hydraulic thrust and potential water hammer effects common at 250 HP.
Electrical Protection: Required: A Soft Starter or Medium Voltage VFD is non-negotiable for a 250 HP motor to manage inrush current and prevent mechanical shock to the shaft during startup. A dedicated circuit breaker with phase-failure and overload protection must be integrated.
System Monitoring: Installation of a SCADA-integrated system is highly recommended. Include real-time pressure transducers, motor winding temperature sensors (PT100), and vibration analysis probes to detect cavitation or bearing wear before critical failure occurs.
Installation Requirements: Due to the weight of a 250 HP motor and a 10x12 assembly, a heavy-duty industrial crane and specialized heavy-lift rigging are mandatory. All connections must be double-checked for torque specifications to ensure leak-free operation under high-pressure discharge.
