Model: 4-Inch Submersible Water-Filled (WF) Motor
Power Output: 7.5 HP (5.5 kW)
Phase: 3-Phase
Construction: Stainless Steel (SS) Housing
Series: Water-Filled (WF)
Specifications
Motor Diameter: 4 Inches (Standard NEMA mounting)
Voltage: 380-415 V / 50 Hz
Insulation Class: Class F (High-thermal resistance for demanding applications)
Protection Rating: IP 68 (Full submersible protection)
Housing Material: High-grade AISI 304 Stainless Steel for superior corrosion resistance
Cooling/Lubrication: Water-filled design using non-toxic, food-grade glycol or pure water, providing environmentally friendly cooling and lubrication for the internal bearings.
Shaft Material: Hardened stainless steel for high torque transmission.
Key Features
Water-Filled Advantage: Unlike oil-filled models, the WF series uses the surrounding borehole water (or a sealed internal water mixture) for cooling, which is ideal for applications requiring strict environmental safety standards.
High-Corrosion Resistance: The stainless steel construction makes this motor highly durable in aggressive, acidic, or mineral-heavy water conditions.
Maintenance-Free Design: Typically features a fully sealed, pressure-compensated design that prevents the ingress of well water and contaminants.
Reliability: Engineered for continuous, long-term operation in deep-borehole irrigation and industrial water supply.
Installation and Use Notes
Electrical Protection: A professional 3-phase control panel with thermal overload protection and single-phasing/imbalance monitoring is mandatory. Calibrate the overload relay precisely to the motor’s Full Load Amperage (FLA).
Cooling Requirement: A minimum flow velocity of 0.08 m/s past the motor casing is necessary to ensure adequate heat dissipation. A flow induction shroud is recommended if the borehole diameter is significantly larger than the motor.
Handling: Use only the motor's dedicated lifting eyes. Never support the pump-motor assembly by the power cable, as this can damage the cable entry seal.
Cable Connection: Ensure all cable splices are completed using a professional-grade, resin-encapsulated submersible kit to maintain the IP 68 rating.
