Installation and Use Notes
Sand Shield Maintenance: The V-SS shield is a critical component for sand-heavy environments; ensure it is inspected for any obstructions during routine pump servicing.
Electrical Protection: A professional 3-phase control panel with thermal overload protection and single-phase/voltage imbalance monitoring is mandatory. This motor must be protected against power grid instability.
Cooling and Flow: Even with a durable design, a minimum flow velocity of 0.15 m/s past the motor casing is required for cooling. If the borehole diameter is significantly larger than the motor, a flow induction shroud must be used.
Handling: Use the designated lifting eyes to lower the motor. Do not use the power cable as a support. Ensure the cable is secured to the column pipe at regular intervals to prevent abrasion against the borehole wall.
