Installation and Use Notes

  • Electrical Infrastructure: A professional 3-phase control panel with a Star-Delta or Soft Starter is mandatory to manage the high startup current and protect the motor from mechanical stress.

  • Cable Sizing: Given the 30 kW power load, ensure power cables are sized correctly for the specific borehole depth and distance to the control panel to prevent excessive voltage drop.

  • Cooling and Flow: A minimum flow velocity of 0.15 m/s past the motor casing is critical for heat dissipation. If the borehole diameter is significantly larger than the 6-inch motor, a flow induction shroud is required to ensure forced water circulation.

  • Handling & Safety: Use professional-grade hoisting equipment and the designated lifting eyes for installation. Secure the motor leads to the column pipe at regular 3-meter intervals to prevent snagging or cable abrasion against the borehole wall.
