Installation and Use The ACSSF5/60 is an ultra-high-stage turbine pump designed for extreme vertical lift. With 60 stages, it is critical that the pump is installed perfectly vertical to prevent mechanical side-loading on the shaft.

Given the extreme shut-off pressure generated by a 60-stage pump, using the correct piping is a matter of safety.

• Piping Pressure Rating: You must use high-pressure rated column piping (e.g., Schedule 80 or reinforced high-pressure poly) that exceeds the pump’s maximum shut-off head pressure to prevent catastrophic pipe bursts.

• Electrical Protection: A 7.5HP motor at this depth requires precise thermal protection and dry-run sensors. Because this pump can create such high pressure, ensure a check valve is installed properly to prevent "water hammer" effect on the pump impellers when the system cycles on/off.

• Installation Depth: Always use a non-corrosive, industrial-strength safety rope, as the weight of 60 stages plus the water column is substantial.
